KEY SCENE PICTURE. One 16:9 film frame, stylized 3D kids' animation in the look and darkness of image 3. No text. Medium two-shot from the front in pitch-black water at 4000 m: Kira (7, small) has ducked behind Yan's shoulder and peeks out, scared, eyes wide; Yan (13, a head taller, glasses) stands protectively in front of her, tense. Kira is on the LEFT of the frame partly behind Yan, Yan on the RIGHT. Children exactly as on the character card (image 1): orange dive suits, clear bubble helmets with EXACTLY TWO dark puck lamps, one on each side at ear height outside the glass, clean glass without bright spots on top; violet and cyan neck rings. Watches as in image 4: Kira one watch on her LEFT wrist (light-grey band, purple rounded-square screen), Yan round cyan screen on his left wrist. A deep-sea VIPERFISH glides past right in front of them, exactly the real Chauliodus sloani of image 2: a long slim dark silver-grey body, a big head with huge needle-like fangs sticking out of its mouth even when closed, big eye, a row of small glowing light dots along its belly, and a long thin ray on its back ending in a small glowing lure. Its REAL SIZE: about 30 cm long — roughly as long as Kira's arm, much smaller than the children; it is close to the camera so it looks big in the frame, but clearly only about arm-length next to Yan. Their white helmet beams light it. Around them a few tiny transparent jellyfish drift in the dark; very fine dust specks only inside the beams; no bubbles.
