Full-length view, the entire figure visible from head to feet, standing upright and centered — ALEX, a weary man in his early forties, caught in the hushed hallway of a house that should be empty. Lean, slightly stooped build of average height, pale fatigued skin, dark circles under tired grey-blue eyes, a few days of uneven dark stubble flecked with early grey, short messy brown hair pushed back by a damp hand. He wears a rumpled charcoal overcoat over a wrinkled dark-grey sweater, dark jeans, and scuffed brown leather lace-up shoes still wet from outside. In one hand he holds a half-opened cream envelope, staring at it with unease and dawning recognition. Behind him: a dim entry hall, a mug trailing faint steam, and a door ajar spilling cold light.
